Personality: Antoine, or as most call him, Tonie, is a relatively laid-back man. Most adults would remark on the boy's quiet nature even as a kid. He was the type of child that was content with a good book and a shaded tree to rest under. In his youth, Tonie was a shy kid. He never really had too many friends. He found that animals and adults were more his speed. Often, his Grandmother would bring little Tonie with her to the market and her friends' homes. He'd sit there helping them make homemade pasta and other meals all the while listening to them gossip and gaggle.
As he shed adolescents, Tonie became a big lover of the world around him. He was from a smaller town, quite a bit of way away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. He spent long weekends hiking in the woods and camping in remote regions of his hometown. Finding waterfalls and hidden coves. It was when the factories started setting up shop that his outlook on the world went from sunny and cheerful to gloomy and depressed.
The factories spewed their toxic waste into the world and ended up completely changing the landscape before them. The woods that he spent his youth hiking in were long gone and the waterways were filled with sludge and runoff. Tonie's carefree attitude flipped and he became an ecowarrior. Somebody who was ready to put his life on the line for the world around him. He championed rallies and picketed companies. He's devoted his life now to stopping corporate greed and waste that is destroying our world. After hearing tales of the Spring of Isneas and its healing powers, he has devoted his life to finding the spring and using its water to purify the rivers and lakes of his home to be pure once more.

Tonie is an average-height man with soft features and dark blue hair. While most would think he dyes the hair, it is actually natural and quite common in his region of the world! He keeps his hair a bit longer than most, reaching down to his mid-back region. If he does do something with it, typically that only involves tying it up in a ponytail for the day. His clothing choices are simple and of course environmentally safe. They are made from either recycled clothes or sustainable materials, he is not about that fast fashion life.

History:
Tonie was born in the small mountain village of Jamga in the Republic of Rokario. While he was a child life was great. It was a village that really stood behind the idea of it takes a village to raise a kid. Tonie spent his youth running through cobble streets and the personal gardens of his neighbors. He was raised by his two Grandparents and his single mother. Often, his mom would work multiple jobs in the village while he stayed with his grandparents. Most of the time though, he was left to his own imagination and exploration. He spent many hot summer days running through the woods of the mountains and finding streams to bathe in. It was paradise for the young man.
His Grandfather was an older and slower man. His prime is long gone. He would sit with Tonie on their back porch, just watching the birds. Sometimes they would fiddle around in the garden but once his Grandpa's knees went out that faded away. His grandfather died when he was nearing ten. It was a hard time for all of them in the house. His Grandmother kept herself busy by going to friends and making homemade pasta or baking. Tonie followed her around like a little shadow those days. It was a slower time in his mind. The days seemed longer and the sunsets were more vibrant with each passing day.
It was when he became a teenager and a young adult that his view of the world started to shift. Factories and mining operations began to sprout over the countryside. It did not take long before the wonderland that he grew up with began to fade. The forest was cut down and the streams were polluted. He watched as his little slice of paradise became a dumping ground for corporate greed. He quickly fell into groups of environmental activists and took the fight to the corporations. From chaining himself to trees to popping the tires off of their machines, Tonie did whatever he could to stop his home from becoming a dumping ground.
Eventually, his Grandmother too passed and he was heartbroken. She was his world and rock. She was constantly pushing him to follow his dreams but she was not thrilled with his methods. She always encouraged him to go to school, to fight them in the courts. She loved his ambitions and love for the world but understood that he could not make changes as he was. So, Tonie decided to go to college and gain a degree in environmental science and chemical engineering.
After obtaining his degrees, Tonie used his knowledge and understanding of the impact it had on the environment around him. He was finally able to force the mining to slow down and use non-fracking practices. The factories had to also pay back the locals for the land that they destroyed and the streams that were now utterly destroyed by their practices. While he was able to get them to stop or slow down, the damage had been done. He spent countless hours bagging trash from the rivers, cleaning debris from the roadsides, and helping poor animals that were displaced but still, he wanted to do more. Without even truly realizing it, Tonie was slowly awakening his nen in a primal manner. He did not go to any school or have any formal guidance but his body and mind started to work in unison with his heart.
Several years has gone past since his efforts to stop the polluters in his region but it has only moved their operations to a new mountainside nearby. Never solving the problems but only pushing them off to somebody else. It has finally dawned on him that he should work to become a Hunter! Stories of objects having healing and restorative properties have always been around. Things that seemed like myths were being discovered all the time. What if there was something like 'The Spring of Isneas' that was actually real? The Spring was based on an old tale that his Grandmother used to tell him. A mystical pool in some remote region of the world that was said to have water so pure and so clean that even a tiny drop of it into a pool of saltwater would make it so that it was drinkable. If this was true, Tonie could use this magical water to not only heal his home but to stop the destruction that consumerism has caused in the world. He could be the person that stopped pollution in its tracks!
For the past two years now, Tonie has spent time not only researching the myth of the spring but also training his body and mind for the grueling Hunter Exams! It was pointed out to him early on in his research of the myth that the Hunter Association would have more detailed records for such myths plus it would open not just doors for him but windows and other back alley channels. If he could become a Hunter, he could go anywhere in the world and have ever opportunity to really bring his dream of global conservation into reality!
