"All aboard! Next stop: Dolle Harbor!" The sailor yelled with enthusiasm over the railing of the deck. Ambulia wished she could be as happy as he was about this trip, but in reality it sounded like it was going to be an awful experience. What concerned her the most was the fact that this rickety wooden ship in front of her was supposedly going to keep her safe enough to bring her from point a to point b without dropping her off into the abyss of the sea below. She didn't know much about boats but that didn't seem quite reasonable. Either way, though, this seemed like the only way the young woman was going to make it to Dolle Harbor so begrudgingly she boarded the boat.[break][break]
Fast forward a few hours and Ambulia was starting to regret her decision. It didn't take long for them to hit a storm, a particualrly bad one at that. Ambulia went from being on the deck, watching the horizon as they sailed to being holed up underneath the deck, the rain seeping through the cracks. The icing on the cake wasn't the situation caused by the weather as Ambulia could handle the discomfort. No, the real problem was one of the other passengers. Ambulia wasn't the only person for Yorknew trying to apply for the hunters exam, but she was one of the few onboard that was sober. Our redheaded hero sat and stared at the bumbling mess in front of her. While she didn't drink, even Ambulia knew it was a dumb idea to throw that poison into your system before willingly getting sloshed around.[break][break]
Regardless, here she was watching the entire situation unfold. "And then! And then! I said..." He slurred his words as he stumbled around the lower deck. From where Ambulia was sitting, he probably wasn't okay and needed some attention. However, from where Ambulia was sitting, how was that her problem? Hell, if anything she's only incentivized to let him die of his own stupid decisions. One less contestant right? [break][break]
And as Ambulia sat there and thought this to herself, she lost track of the person in question and didn't realize that they ended up right in front of her. "Wow! Look at you~! So pre-" The compliment was cut short by the sudden regurgitation of the man... who was... standing right over Ambulia. Now not only was she wet, she was also covered in vomit and stank, badly.[break][break]
"Oops. My bad-"[break][break]
"Shut up." Ambulia hit that level of angry that most people get to where they double back around and are completely calm. She was going to kill him, probably. How exactly, she had no clue, but this entire circus has gone on far enough and she was going to put an end to it all. Slowly, she stood up from the ground and tried her best to wipe away the vomit she was covered in, eventually giving up as she realized that it was only spreading around her body and getting on her hands. With a look of disgust on her face, Ambulia cocked back her fist and let it fly til it connected with his nose. His face sort of just morphed around her fist and sent him to the ground ,which she followed with sitting back into her spot. Now that he was out of the picture perhaps she could take a little nap...[break][break]
And all of a sudden the rain stopped. Ambulia woke to a still boat, the storm had passed, and apparently they were already arrived. She packed up her things, which there weren't many, and started to make her way off the boat. Before she was able to get off, the captain locked eyes with her and handed her a folded piece of paper. Confused, Ambulia opened it to a hint: where to go next. The captain's expression didn't change but he gave her a nod of approval. Not really knowing what to do with that, she just kept on walking.[break][break]
