Drenched from head to toe, Mr. Pepper would undress in his room, getting ready to disembark. John Pepper didn't get a chance to actually talk to Belladonna yet, but they were bound to cross paths if they were both successful with the hunter exam. As he dried off in the sun above deck, he managed to catch a glance of the Mafia boss once more but was tapped on the shoulder by a stout, older gentleman. His cap would belie his role on board.
"I had er chance to witness just what you did young man. To rescue a pig like that.. well, that might not earn ya any friends. In fact, ye might lo-" The captain's hoarse voice would be interrupted by a fit of coughs, as he cleared his throat. "The brine... as intoxicating as it is brutal. But nevermind me, I've been watching some of the people aboard this yeer vessel o' mine and I've come to notice talent. You can pass the exam." It was evident that he was aware of John's intentions. "Near all the people know this is THE ship to take to become a hunter, but they don't know what to do once they get to Dolle Harbor. That's why ye ol' captain's gotcha, he believes in ya, yanno? Once we get to Dolle Harbor, travel to the forest where the 'Lone Cedar Tree' stands." The captain bit his lip wanting to give him more information, but was holding himself back. At this point, the captain would make sure to catch Belladonna before she would leave the boat.
As John disembarked, he was greeted by people giving him instructions to a tour bus that would lead to the next part of the exam. He would ask the guide if the tour bus would lead him to such a forest. With a smile on their face, the guide would say no, but give him instructions with a smile towards the forest, still guiding him to the bus.
John Pepper would politely refuse. "Yeah, scram. We ain't fallin' for the oldest trick in the book. We got the words of a crazy, old man on a ship. How could a stranger be wrong?" Boba's voice was sarcastic, but John read the vibes and trusted the captain, and really Boba did too otherwise she would've been staunch in her advice. They would travel to the edge of the forest. There were no signs, but his raw faith would set him forth on his journey, where he could fall back on this funny story.
As he travelled into the forest, wandering for quite some time, he began to document his journey using his phone handheld to first person vlog his journey, explaining the situation with the captain and how he strayed away from the path to enter this forest. It was at this point that he was interrupted by a person running towards him and asking for help. When they approached, John Pepper would reach for their wrist to capture the person, because first of all, suspicious, second of all, his parents had told him similar stories about their hunter exams. The Kiriko would reveal itself, shocked and puzzled but would begin to sprint away, much faster than John, but John would whip out his drone, unfolding the key features in seconds, and sending it flying automatically.
The drone had kept up with the Kiriko for along time to the point and hiding. The Kiriko assumed that the human had lost him, but eventually John Pepper would arrive, his phone in hand showing a GPS app that had been tracking the drone and therefore the Kiriko. Before collapsing at their feet.

"Arr, such a treacherous umbrella ye be wieldin' there... Ye could've blasted the pig's leg," the captain quickly spoke as he approached Belladonna, who was preparing to disembark from the boat. With a mischievous giggle, she would respond to the captain's words. "I could have, but I didn't. It would be such a waste of bullets, don't you think Captain?" The captain let out a joyful laugh, after hearing the redhead's respond, "Aye, that be true, me fair lady."
"Besides, if I showed such hostility, it would make it difficult for me to proceed to the stage. Best to keep things on the down low for now."
Another loud laughter escaped from the captain's chapped lips, it seems the brine had made his skin dry, not to mention how many times he had coughed during the conversation with Belladonna. "Ha! Just as I thought, the granddaughter of Magnolia, a true Femme Fatale ye be!" However, Belladonna's smile faded instantly and the captain would see the sudden change in how she glanced at him, "...you know her?"
The old man seemed unfazed by the change in Belladonna's demeanor and displayed a confident grint towards the woman. It seemed years of experience battling the violent sea and dealing with all kinds of turbulence had made him immune to such trivial matters as a hostile glare."Aye, indeed I do! Now, Belladonna Vinci, since ye passed the first exam, I'll share a clue to guide ye. Set yer course for the forest where the 'Lone Cedar Tree' stands, and there ye shall find a clue to the next exam's whereabouts."
Right after the captain gave her advice, Belladonna's smile was back on his lips, "Well, Captain. It is very kind of you for giving me such valuable information. I should head there quickly then, many thanks to you."
"May the winds be at yer back, and good luck to ye!"
Now, the moment Belladonna descended from the ship, she would notice some people queueing at the bus station. She approached the guide who was busy attending to the passenger, but before she could say any words, the guide quickly showcased his persuasion skill. "Come come! Please watch your step when you enter the bus, Miss! You should hurry, the bus will leave soon." Something about the guide made Belladonna feel strange, the way he spoke to her and the way he gave her a sense of urgency... It didn't make any sense, he was selling too much and made it feel like it was on purpose
"Will this bus take me to the forest?" The redhead quickly threw a question.
"Unfortunately no, but this will take you to the next area. Come, Miss, there's a lot of lines behind you."
The mafia heard some protests from behind her, but she paid no attention to them and proceeded to ask about the way to the forest, surprisingly, as a professional guide, he gave her detailed instructions on how to go to the forest, although still put a little bit of persuasion to make her change her mind and enter the bus. "I will pass on the bus then, many thanks." She turned around and saw angry glares from the people behind her, but she responded with a smile and walked away quietly. Little did she know, some people couldn't help but kept staring at her in awe until they couldn't see her shadow any more.
"This really feels like a workout..." Belladonna whispered to herself as her hand carefully wiped the sweat from her face, she didn't want any pimple to suddenly show up, didn't she? As she kept walking, she heard a rustle coming from the bushes nearby. Just when Belladonna want to check, someone ran towards her from behind and asked for her help to save her partner. At this moment the woman wondered if this was a part of the exam... but oh well... "What happened?" The mafia would ask.
"A strange creature took my partner! They went that way. Follow me!" The stranger pointed in a certain direction and started sprinting, which made Belladonna raise her eyebrow but decided to follow the woman anyway. The woman stopped running as they reached an abandoned house and mentioned the creatures had brought her partner into the house before asking the redhead to quickly go in and save her partner.
"Signora." Belladonna walked closer to the woman and grabbed her wrist, "You are pregnant and we were running for quite a while, but it is amusing you haven't broken a sweat yet. Not to mention you didn't look exhausted at all. Say, you are not human, aren't you?"
The woman shifted to her true form and tried to get away, but Belladonna had already tightened her grip around Kiriko's wrist and in an instant, the mafia used her umbrella to smack the creature's feet. The moment the Kiiriklo lost her balance, Belladonna kicked the Kiriko and got on top of her, using her entire weight to stop the Kiriko from moving. "You see, I caught a glimpse of one of you heading towards this very direction, bringing that Mr. Pepper the mega influencer, in their clutch, such a funny coincidence, don't you think? He is a very valuable star, so can you give him back?"
A clap echoed from behind Belladonna and she swiftly got up and swung her umbrella towards whoever was standing behind her. Unfortunately, the other Kiriko was able to catch the umbrella, stopping it from hitting them, but it wasn't the end of Belladonna's trick. "Wait! Don't pull the trigger, Belladonna Vinci. We admit defeat."
"My, that's a relief!" The redhead smiled and pulled back her umbrella, although she kept her offensive stance just in case. "I apologize for displaying such a violent act as well to both of you."
"You did what you should've done, so please don't worry about that. Also, John Pepper is safe with me." The Kiriko turned around and showed the influencer who they carried on their back. He seemed unconscious, but well.
"Both of you showed a very big potential. Mr. Pepper here didn't hesitate to show his suspicion to one of us and he chased after us by using his tools, which were very interesting to witness." The Kiriko turned to glance at Belladionna, "You have such a great observation, you are also cool-headed and quick to take action, so that's a very easy pass from us. Therefore, we'll guide you to the next area of the exam!" The Kiriko turned to their human form and helped both Belladonna and John to get to the next area of the Hunter Exam.
