Kaito had been observing Tenju for a considerable time, captivated by the air of mystery surrounding him, from his enigmatic demeanor to the intriguing fan he carried. To Kaito's surprise, an opponent who harbored concerns about Tenju approached him, expressing a desire to purchase information. However, as a fledgling information hunter, Kaito possessed limited resources to offer for sale. He found himself in need of something substantial to sell, and considering his relatively low stakes in the Heaven's Arena at the moment, he concluded that the best course of action would be to shadow Tenju. Kaito anticipated that sooner or later, some hot-headed individuals might challenge Tenju out of envy or underestimation. Alternatively, circumstances might arise where Kaito himself would need to provoke a confrontation with Tenju, with the aim of gaining valuable firsthand experience to sell before making a daring escape. Though riskier, the latter option appeared plausible. For now, Kaito began shadowing Tenju, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of whether he had been detected or not. Tenju

Three weeks. That was the time frame given to Tenju by his father. He was to win at least one heavens arena match within that time before he was even allowed to head to the hunter exam location. Or at least, to the ship that was said to take him there. So the Okashiya scion left his small village in Yorba and headed to Uppro where the tower dedicated to combat could be found. There was only one restriction and that was the use of nen being sealed. His grandfather had once mentioned that below the 200th floor, nen was not widely known. Given the already standing rules within the family to not use their techniques to harm others and it placed Tenju into a somewhat awkward position. He had been forced to study healing his whole life. Never once had he been given lessons on fighting. But he had no gripes or protests for his father and grandfather. To disobey they two men was beyond Tenju's scope of thought.
Registered for a fight, Tenju found out he had three days until it was time for him to take the stage. That left him plenty of time where he had little to do so the village born youth decided to spend it sight seeing. Although he had little money the young man still took a pauper's tour of the city around Heaven's Arena. The youth had no idea that on the second day he was being followed. Apparently his scheduled opponent was wary of the unknown upstart that had suddenly appeared. Perhaps they recognized the Okashiya name and feared the famed family of hunters would produce a formidable heir. That heir was currently not training with the spirit of a fierce tiger, but rather strolling leisurely down the street looking through all the shop windows as he marveled at the height of the sky scrapers around him like any other tourist might.
Fanning himself against the humid and heavy summer air, Tenju eventually made his way to a block of the city that had been converted into a park. Carefully cultivated gardens and well placed trees created a small sanctuary from the concrete jungle. The false sense of nature was a welcome one however. At the parks center was a circulate fountain with a mermaid figurehead at the center producing water from her palms. Tenju sat down at the fountains edge and enjoyed the cool spray of water as he admired the craftsmanship that went into carving out the mermaid. He let out relaxed sigh and sat there fanning himself totally oblivious to the fact that he was being watched. But he still scanned his surroundings in boredom. Eventually it was inevitable that his gaze would float past the spot his stalker was watching him from and there it would settle.
Tenju began to stare directly at the stranger. Or so it would seem. In truth, it was just a coincidence and in truth Tenju was staring at a beautiful red bird that was making its nest in a nearby tree. The mother bird had just brought back a fresh worm for its chirping younglings. The young man smiled as he watched the family of birds and found himself already feeling homesick. Heaving out a long sigh, Tenju sat there watching the birds, still seated at the fountain fanning himself.

As Kaito diligently followed his target, he couldn't help but acknowledge the renowned reputation of the Okashiya clan, a name that held comparable fame to the Kurta clan before their tragic downfall. Yet, the Okashiya clan's enigmatic abilities and techniques remained shrouded in secrecy, passed down through generations with meticulous care. The nature of their techniques was such that even if someone engaged in combat with them, there was a significant chance that the individual wouldn't survive the encounter to uncover the secrets of their art, let alone attempt to replicate them. Suddenly, a surge of panic coursed through Kaito's veins as he realized he had been caught. In a momentary lapse, his eyes met Tenju's gaze, sending a jolt of unease down his spine. Kaito was not one to be careless, but being relatively new to this line of work, he expected to be discovered eventually. However, he hadn't anticipated it happening so soon. Resolute in his determination to not leave empty-handed, Kaito decided to approach Tenju, attempting to salvage the situation. "Hi there," Kaito greeted, mustering a friendly wave as he closed the distance between himself and Tenju. His mind raced, conjuring up a plausible excuse. "I write for Rookie Season, a magazine that focuses on up-and-coming stars from the Heaven's Arena. I was wondering if I could have a moment of your time for an interview?"

The color of the feathers was so different from the hawks and sparrows he knew from his home region in Kuybo. Was it a swallow? Or a dove? Perhaps a robin? Tenju went, through the names of different avian species that he had heard of but never seen when the red haired man suddenly appeared before him. "Oh!" The young Okashiya scion was startled at how the stranger had materialized before him. In truth, he'd walked up to Tenju like any other man might. But Tenju had been so focused on the birds he hadn't even noticed!
Up and coming stars? Tenju blinked and stared blankly for a moment. "Who, me?" He asked as he continued to fan himself. How could he be considered a star? Tenju hadn't even fought a match yet! "I think you have to wrong person, sir. I haven't fought in the arena before. You must have me confused for someone else." He said with a shrug as he continued to wave the paper can to cool himself. His expression was that of a polite smile, but hidden behind it was an irritation given away only be the twitch of an eye brow.
Tenju hated it when others wasted his time. How could this reporter be so unprofessional as to approach the wrong person for an interview? The young man steamed in silent frustration.

"No, I think you are missing the point. The rookie season is not just for any ordinary player, it is for the prospective rising stars who are looking to make a name for themselves. This is a scouting interview, the kind that people usually do and look back on before they become famous. The reason we approached you is because of your clan affiliation, and we have high expectations for your ability to succeed and excel in this field. I am here to know if there is more to you than simply your last name or what you represent. I am interested in understanding your skills, techniques, and abilities, and how you can contribute to the team in the long run."
Kaito's primary objective was to keep the conversation going and avoid any confrontation or argument. He was trying to extract as much information as possible from the candidate during this so-called "fake interview." Kaito believed that if he could get anything to slip from the candidate, it would be for the best. He was always on the lookout for any useful techniques or moves that he could learn from the candidate. Kaito was a firm believer in taking any opportunity that came his way and making the most of it.
"What do you think? Are you still not interested in working with us? I assure you that this could be a great opportunity for you to showcase your talents and skills."

The minor signs of annoyance faded from Tenju's expression as the reporter went on with his words only to be replaced with one of suspicion. His brow furrowed slightly at mention of his clan. The name the Okashiya had spread far and wide was no secret to Tenju. He took pride in the fact that his line had garnered a reputation. But to his knowledge that reputation began and ended in the realm of healing. As a family of Medicinal Hunters the Okashiya had made a name for themselves be curing illness and curing wounds. Never once had he heard of his family performing feats of violence, so what made this man think that an inexperienced youth of the clan was worth paying attention to?
"If you truly know anything about my clan, you should know that it is forbidden to use our techniques to cause harm. I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you. There will be no skills or techniques of the Okashiya on display in the arena. It is a healing art, not one intended for causing harm."
Not intended. Forbidden, in fact. But Tenju knew this statement didn't meant it was impossible. He had thought about it many times. If harm of any kind as truly forbidden then why did his back ache so badly from the bruises left behind by his father? Tenju became angry at his own powerlessness and it started to come through in his tone despite maintaining a forced polite smile. "I'm not interested in becoming a famous fighter. I just need to win a few matches and then I'll be on my way. Sorry to disappoint you." The grouchy tone not matching the polite words at all, Tenju abruptly stood up and met the stranger's eyes. Behind that polite smile was the glare of a hoodlum. A glare that said, "Don't push it" as the Okashiya youth was starting to lose his patience.
