Name: Contract Broker
Tier: Novice [Two Tokens]
Type: Specialist
Requirements and Drawbacks:
Description: Contract Broker is an extraordinary Specialist ability that grants the user the power to create and manipulate supernatural contracts, binding individuals or entities to specific terms with extraordinary consequences. The main aspect of the hatsu can be broken down into three core aspects.
Some Examples
Contractual Geas: The character can create a contract that imposes a geas, a magical obligation or prohibition, on the target. The geas compel the target to perform a specific task or refrain from certain actions, and breaking the geas results in immediate, debilitating consequences.
Karmic Retribution: The character can craft contracts that tie the consequences of actions to a karmic system. When a party breaches the contract, they experience negative karmic effects proportional to the severity of the breach. These effects could include misfortune, bad luck, or physical ailments.
Ephemeral Pacts: The character can create contracts that exist only temporarily, vanishing once the agreed-upon conditions are met. These contracts are ideal for short-term alliances or agreements that should not have lasting consequences.

Tier: Novice [Two Tokens]
Type: Specialist
Requirements and Drawbacks:
- Physical Limitation: The character might require some physical effort, like writing or drawing, to create contracts. This could limit the speed at which contracts can be formed.
[break] - Binding Obligations: The character is bound to the contracts they create. If they violate or break a contract they've formed, there could be serious consequences, such as losing their Nen abilities or suffering physical harm.
[break] - Time Limitation: Contracts may have a time limit or expiration date. They could become null and void after a certain period, requiring the character to renew or recreate them.[break]
- Two-Party Requirement: Contracts may require the agreement of both parties involved. If one party refuses, the contract cannot be formed. This could be a significant limitation if the character needs to form contracts with unwilling individuals.[break]
- Contract Cap: Riku is only able to manifest and maintain up to three (3) contracts at a time while the hatsu is at Novice level. If all three slots are utilized, Riku will have to break one of those contracts or come to a mutual agreement to cancel it by both parties before he can create a new contract. If he breaks a contract for this he will still suffer the backlash from that contract.
Description: Contract Broker is an extraordinary Specialist ability that grants the user the power to create and manipulate supernatural contracts, binding individuals or entities to specific terms with extraordinary consequences. The main aspect of the hatsu can be broken down into three core aspects.
- Contract Fabrication: The user can craft intricate supernatural contracts with extraordinary conditions and outcomes. These contracts can be in the form of written documents, spoken agreements, or even physical gestures (pinky swear for example). Each contract is imbued with the user's aura and possesses a unique Nen signature. Each contract, no matter what its contents are, can be considered a nen-curse. They all can be removed from either party without suffering the consequences through the use of a nen-exorcist. [break]
- Nen Enforceability: Contract Broker contracts are not ordinary agreements; they are infused with Nen, making them magically binding. Any party who willingly enters into a contract with the user is subjected to the Nen-based consequences outlined in the agreement. If a contract is broken for whatever reason, Riku will automatically be aware of the contract breaking but not necessarily the cause for the break. All contracts are considered indefinite until they are broken or discontinued. They will continue throughout future threads. [break]
- Contractual Consequences: The user can determine specific consequences for contract violations or achievements. These consequences can range from bestowing unique Nen abilities upon the signatory to invoking curses, ailments, or other supernatural phenomena.[break]

Tier: Novice
Duration: Depends on the situation
Cost: 10
Description:
This ability allows the character to create a simple contract focused on confidentiality and trust. This ability follows the following steps and requirements.
- Negotiation: The character initiates the ability through negotiation with the target, discussing the terms related to confidentiality.
- Verbal Agreement: To formalize the contract, both parties verbally agree to uphold the confidentiality of specific information or secrets.
Terms of the Contract:
- Confidentiality: Both parties commit to not disclosing any information shared during the negotiation to third parties without the other party's consent.
- Consequences of Breach: Breaching the Oath of Confidentiality results in the person who breached having the wind knocked out of them, temporarily causing them to be staggered for a moment. This action does cause a tightness in the chest and could in some situations lead to further medical issues, granted this is for those who are already in poor health.
Limitations:
- Creating an Oath of Confidentiality does not require significant Nen aura or concentration, making it suitable for novice users.
- This Oath applies to the one who creates the contract as well. If they breach the trust they will suffer the same backlash.
Example of use:
Riku: “Neither one of us will say anything to anybody about what we witnessed here.”
Person B: “Yea, of course.”
