Trait Name: Savant Syndrome
Trait Tier: Advanced
Trait Genre: Niche
Trait Description: A phenomenon where someone demonstrates exceptional aptitude in a single field, but at the cost of significant social or intellectual impairment. Osuzume Rinha obtained this at birth as a result of a notable birth defect as a result of a hiccup in the the genetic splicing process used in his creation, resulting in him developing a neurodevelopmental disorder in the form of high-functioning autism. It is a condition that allows him to function with great intelligence, but his lack of social skills and grasp of societal norms causes him to fail to be understood or at least tolerated by most people due to his social awkwardness, causing him to live a relatively lonely existence.
At the cost of being rendered a social outcast, this trait grants him Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory (HSAM), and an acute Spatial Visualization Ability. The former, properly known by the name of Hyperthymesia, leads people to be able to remember an abnormally large number of their life experiences in vivid detail. While the latter is simple to explain, the former has more complexity:
Visual-Spatial Ability is is far less complex and is the ability to mentally manipulate 2 and 3-dimensional figures. A famous example is the concept of "4D Chess"; the act of playing a stratagem, moves ahead, in such a multi-layered, brain sparklingly sophisticatedly process, that no one outside of the user's own mind can grasp what is going on unless informed or having great mental capabilities themselves. It is often depicted in media as a metaphorical game of chess, often with two people of equal intelligence attempting to out play the other. This synergizes with Hyperthymesia as having vast knowledge is often a prerequisite to pulling something like this off successfully.
Trait Effect: Justifies certain narrative elements, where applicable. All items in Rinha's Likes and Dislikes, corelated branching topics, and elements found in the character's background are considered. Justifications can expand or change through significant In-Character events.

- Memories derived from Hyperthymesia are uncontrollable; they are encoded involuntarily and retrieved automatically. When Rinha encounters a trigger that causes him to remember something, he "sees" a vivid depiction in his head without hesitation or conscious effort, without his explicit desire or consent to do so. In essence, he has no control over his own memories.
- On top of that, memories retained can never be forgotten. even if they are difficult or traumatic, which can stay with them for life. When something painful does happen, like a break-up or the loss of a family member, they can NEVER forget those feelings. This has a negative impact on the user's health and growth early in life, and can result in them being more prone to holding grudges.
- Rinha does not remember exactly everything in his life or have "perfect memory"; it is a selective ability, with it favoring personal, autobiographical accounts of both significant and mundane events in his life. This is compounded by a poorer than average memory for arbitrary, allocentric information and he tends to remember events more than his ability to memorize given facts. What this all boils down to is that unless it has personal significance (i.e, him caring about it), it will very much NOT be retained in his memory. This can result in conflict socially as he will often forget information about people he does not feel strongly about or care for.
- This all does mean when it is something he does care for, he excels in that particular area more than others. In practice this means that he is a kind of Polymath (homo universalis, 'universal human'), an individual whose knowledge spans a substantial number of subjects, known to draw on complex bodies of knowledge to solve specific problems. In essence, if he cares about it, there is a good chance that he knows more about that particular topic than a human should reasonably know who isn't specialized in that field.
