Tenju is a bundle of contradictions. He makes an exhaustive effort to maintain the facade of confidence with his actions and outward looks, but behind the mask is a tangle of doubts and worries. Even so, he makes it a point to stand and continue to smile as if all were going according to plan. Only the most dangerous of foes or the closest of allies can break the facade or peel back the mask. This is all in accordance with his father Kiseki’s teachings.
Still chained by the past he is dead set on achieving the dreams foisted upon him by his family to become a hunter. He does so with a one track mind and will not listen to dissuasion from others once he sets his mind to something. Quick to argue and prone to relying on facts over feelings, Tenju can seem cold and uncaring at times. Deep down he has warm attachments to his friends and family however and works hard for the sake of others.

Failing to live up to the expectations his family have placed on him. It is one of the only things suppressing his urges to use the family accupoint techniques for harm rather than for healing. Ironic as this fear was traumatized into him by the abusive use of these techniques on him when he was young.

Taking after his father in many ways, Tenju sports the Okashiya family blond hair and a narrow face with unimposing features. His eyes however, came from his mother. Crystal blue and gentle in nature. But the young man often hides his gaze under the shade of a white and green bucket hat worn at nearly every occasion. He maintains a cheshire smile to outsides and carries himself with an are of confidence even when he is feeling unsure of himself. To help feel less like an imposter, he dresses like his father, wearing a green haori with the family crest, a diamond, in white lining the hem. The garment brings him a sense of belonging to the Okashiya family and its ranks of medical professionals. His clothing underneath is bland and brown being stock eastern clothing save for one oddity. Old fashioned geta adorn his feet making the hat and clogs by far the two most striking pieces of his wardrobe.

For generations, they had been revered as renowned Medicine Hunters, skilled in the art of gathering rare herbs and harnessing the power of holistic remedies. Among them was a young boy named Tenju, who would unknowingly carry the weight of his family's legacy upon his shoulders.
Tenju's father, Kiseki, was a stern and imposing man who had inherited the role of the family's head from his own father. However, the burden of responsibility had twisted his heart, turning him into a cruel and abusive father. Kiseki firmly believed that discipline was the key to greatness, and he saw no other way to shape Tenju into a worthy successor.
From an early age, Tenju became a victim of his father's relentless training. Kiseki employed the family's ancient accupoint techniques to instill discipline and resilience in his young son. Every day, Tenju endured the pain and torment of having his pressure points manipulated, leaving him exhausted and broken. Kiseki's ruthless methods were believed to strengthen Tenju's body and mind, preparing him for the challenges that lay ahead.
Tenju's mother, Hanako, watched helplessly from the sidelines as her son suffered under Kiseki's harsh teachings. Her heart ached for Tenju, but she dared not interfere, fearing her husband's wrath. Hanako was a gentle soul, well-versed in the art of herbal medicine herself, but her knowledge was overshadowed by the domineering presence of her husband.
Despite the constant torment, Tenju's spirit remained unbroken. He harbored a deep love for the healing arts and an insatiable curiosity about the natural world around him. Years passed, and as Tenju grew older, his skill in the family's hand pressure techniques became well recognized in the village. His once fragile body had transformed into a vessel of strength and resilience, but his heart remained burdened by the scars of his father's abuse. The village whispered tales of his remarkable potential, unaware of the price he had paid for his mastery. It was with great fanfare they saw him off as he left the village to take the Hunter Exams.
The young man hopes to achieve the status of a hunter and return to his clan with his head held high. He longed to make his father proud and finally stand as his old man's equal. It is with those aspirations in his heart Tenju walks the path of a hunter. But deep down he feels unsure if this is really the right choice of life for him. At the end of the day, he was just doing what his father expected of him. But betraying those expectations was unthinkable. As far as Tenju see's it, this is his only choice.

But over time he slowly became more resilient and in time came to possess a body overflowing with vitality and good health. The bruised spots on his back remain tender and could be considered weak points, but the rest of his flesh is unnaturally sturdy and fatigue takes longer to set in. As the bruises slowly heal, his body will in time grow to become even more robust.
[b]Trait Effect:[/b] Four points on Tenju's back over his heart, lungs, and stomach are nearly permanently bruised during this stage of conditioning. Direct attacks to any of those points on his back will deal damage as though it were 2 tiers higher. In exchange, he takes damage elsewhere on the body as though it were 1 tier less and can perform acts of physical labor for much longer than the average man. In addition, Tenju has a strong vitality allowing him to survive otherwise deadly wounds as long as his primary organs remain intact.
