Having both an extremely privileged upbringing and powers beyond normal human capabilities, Kadath has a sense of invincibility that he holds as sacrosanct. Needless to say, he has a knack for getting into trouble, most infamously with his much more powerful father.

In his true form as a wyrm, Kadath is a wingless, maroon-scaled dragon with razor-sharp fangs and claws. He measures at about fourteen feet in length, and stands at about six feet tall on all fours. A row of spikes runs from the base of his neck to his tail.

Ivongem Embergaze is the owner of The Crimson Concern, one of the largest banks on the continent of Yorbia. As such, he possesses an enormous amount of wealth, which enabled him to live on an immense estate and even sleep atop a giant mound of gold and jewels. Fifteen years ago, though, he sired an even more important treasure with another dragon; his son Kadath.
Kadath never knew his mother Komminth, as she passed away before he was three years old. It didn’t matter to Kadath, as Ivongem was the only parent he’d ever need. Kadath was spoiled rotten growing up, wanting for absolutely nothing in his life – he was even trained personally in Nen by his father. But all good things come to an end eventually.
One year ago, Ivongem decided to give Kadath a preparatory job as an accountant to prepare him for eventually taking over the bank. But Ivongem underestimated the depths of Kadath’s greed and entitlement. Despite having an allowance exceeding several adults’ salaries, Kadath chose to embezzle money from his father by cooking the books.
Ivongem, however, did not underestimate Kadath’s intelligence – he quickly found out. Enraged at his son’s entitlement, Ivongem disinherited Kadath and grounded him for four years.
But once again, Kadath did something Ivongem could not predict, and dropped out of school to pursue his fortune anew. Now a runaway from his estate, he plots to regain the fortune that he feels was unfairly ripped from him…
